Major research interests include:

  • pathology of birds with a special focus on the diagnosis and control of bacterial and viral diseases of poultry, in particular salmonellosis, campylobacteriosis, colibacillosis, pastereloses and erysipelas;
  • phenotypic and genotypic characteristics of zoonotic microorganisms,
  • diagnosis and pathology of exotic and fur animal diseases,
  • parasitic diseases of poultry with particular emphasis on coccidiosis and nematodes in poultry;
  • drug-resistance of microorganisms isolated from poultry, free-living birds and pigeons;
  • assessment of the effectiveness of chemotherapeutic agents and vaccine immunogenicity, including those against Salmonella and Campylobacter infections
